As our goal is to ‘eternalize’ aluminium, we have also eternalized a ground-breaking virtual reality concert with a-ha. By putting on a pair of VR goggles you can stand on stage with a-ha in front of thousands of screaming fans.
Leading position in innovation
We have a leading position within technology and innovation in the aluminium industry, and we think it’s great to be able to use new technology to create premium content in the virtual reality world.
– New technology offers fantastic possibilities in the arts- and entertainment sector and we are happy to take a part in this by venturing into untested territory, says Magne Furuholmen from a-ha.
A-ha has made timeless hits that can be listened to over and over again. It’s the same thing with aluminum as it can be recycled repeatedly and live indefinitely.

– We are excited about being able to present our fans with one of the world’s first full-scale concerts in virtual reality. We have tested the result, and the feeling of standing on stage with ourselves was quite surreal. This technology will allow people to share a live music experience in new and innovative ways, the band members say.
The technology behind the magic
The production has required 20 000 lines of coding, 1000 square meters of projection film and the most advanced projectors available. Void, a Norwegian computational design agency, has also contributed to pushing the boundaries for what people will see as reality.
All the VR material has been finalized by Wonderworld, a company that specialized in developing, producing and distributing VR content.
